===Install Tape Drive=== In order replace a faulty tape drive first shut down the workstation. Then exchange the tape drives and reboot the workstation (make sure the cable connecting the tape drive to the workstation is properly connected at both ends). Once logged in using the regular account, enter the following commands to activate the new tape drive: $ set ho 0 username: system, password: xxx $ set def sys$startup $ mcr sysman io list_wwid This then should list some info about the new tape drive; at the end should be listed its unique WWID $ mcr sysman io replace_wwid $2$mga0 /WWID=... Enter the WWID that was displayed after entering the previous command, providing the entire string. Something like this <code>02000008:5140-2EC0-1208-5F00</code> $ mcr sysman io auto/log $ @sys$startup:scanco_setup_devices $ logout The new tape drive should then be operable.
