==Relay for pump== In Houston we installed a relay that allows us to remotely turn on and off the power to the gantry. There are scripts in the
COM
directory called
RELAY_PUMP_...
. Install the special
TELNET_CLIENT.EXE
as user
system
into
DISK0:[SYS0.SYSCOMMON.SYSEXE]
so that it is accessible and then set the permissions: $ set def disk0:[sys0.syscommon.sysexe] $ set prot=(s:rwed,o:rwed,g:re,w:re) telnet_client.exe You need to set a logical (can be set permanently in
LOGIN.COM
): $ DEFINE TELNET_SERVER_LINE "TCPIP$DEVICE:172.16.1.2:9500" Then you can turn the gantry on or off with $ mcr telnet_client -on $ mcr telnet_client -off And you can check the current status of the gantry by pinging it: $ TCPIP PING 192.168.34.18 The output for when the gantry is
on
looks like this: $ TCPIP PING 192.168.34.18 PING 192.168.34.18 (192.168.34.18): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 192.168.34.18: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=1 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.34.18: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=0 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.34.18: icmp_seq=2 ttl=255 time=0 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.34.18: icmp_seq=3 ttl=255 time=0 ms ----192.168.34.18 PING Statistics---- 4 packets transmitted, 4 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip (ms) min/avg/max = 0/0/1 ms And when it is
off
it looks like this: $ TCPIP PING 192.168.34.18 PING 192.168.34.18 (192.168.34.18): 56 data bytes ping: sendto: network is down ping: wrote 192.168.34.18 64 chars, ret=-1 ping: sendto: network is down ping: wrote 192.168.34.18 64 chars, ret=-1 ping: sendto: network is down ping: wrote 192.168.34.18 64 chars, ret=-1 ping: sendto: network is down ping: wrote 192.168.34.18 64 chars, ret=-1 ----192.168.34.18 PING Statistics---- 4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss %SYSTEM-F-TIMEOUT, device timeout There is a script called
RELAY_PUMP_10_MIN_ON.COM
that self-submits and automatically turns on and off the gantry on Sunday at 2am.
