===dblatex===

dblatex is a tool for generating PDF output using LaTeX from docbook sources.  It is necessary for producing PDF output from asciidoc .

dblatex requires LaTeX, so install that first.

Get the source code from http://dblatex.sourceforge.net/ .

 tar xvjf dblatex-0.3.2.tar.bz2
 cd dblatex-0.3.2
 sudo python2.7 ./setup.py install --prefix=/opt/dblatex-0.3.2

Note: I use python2.7 instead of python just to be sure to get the python I installed, instead of the system python.

To use dblatex, you will need to set some environment variables:

 export PATH=/opt/dblatex-0.3.2:"$PATH"
 export PYTHONPATH=/opt/dblatex-0.3.2/lib/python2.7/site-packages:$PYTHONPATH"
