Notice a new line isn't created by typing on the next line, without a
break statement, or with an

empty line like that.

starting the line with a space like this makes all 

of this text within this cool box.

the colon (:) works to indent this text, but only when it is the first character against the margin. and all of the text of this paragraph will also be indented, blah, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

adding several colons indents the text that much further

• An asterix like this makes the bullet appear.
• Adding a space, doesn't change the layout.
• And adding lots of space like this doesn't change anything either.
