=Data Management= ==Trainee’s Data Responsibility== #Perform Contouring and Data Analysis on Data Disk ideally 1-2 months after scanning. #After finished onsite analysis, use Scripts to Copy and Rename image data (no RSQ, no ISQ, only AIM, SEG.AIM, GOBJ, COM, LOG, PDF, PS ect) to your specific project folder on Project Disk. #After finished copying all your image data to Project Disk, Notify lab personal to delete your data on Data Disk by providing a . #Notify lab personal to backup your project folder on Project Disk to Winston server on a monthly basis. #*Only the two most recent backups (A or B version) are kept for each project on Winston: #:Backup version "_A" for odd months (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov), e.g. YZHU_A_OTHER_2017-01-12.SAV #:Backup version "_B" for even months (Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec), e.g. YZHU_B_OTHER_2020-04-08.SAV #When a project is finished, Notify lab personal to archive your project to HOG server. #When a trainee is about leaving, Notify Steve and lab personal to determine either to backup or to archive your project. Return to Contents or Return to Main Page ==Move data from Data Disk to Project Disk== This is generally done after onsite analysis (i.e. autocontour, cortical porosity, FE etc.) is done. Examples of this can be found in DISK3:[MICROCT.PROJECTS.GRACE.COM]
1. Go to the specific project's .COM directory, for example:
$ cd DISK3:[MICROCT.PROJECTS.GRACE.COM]
2. Create a script that will move all IMA (i.e. .AIM, .GOBJ, _SEG.AIM, _CORTEX.AIM, _LHTH_DTN.AIM) to the .MODELS directory for the project. You will use the rename_to_models.com script to generate this script. To move Grace data for example, with a measurement range of 2684 to 2685, you would use: $ @com:rename_to_models.com meas#1:meas#2 DESTINATION DIR $ @com:rename_to_models.com 2684:2685 DISK3:[MICROCT.PROJECTS.GRACE.MODELS] 3.This will create a file named RENAME_ALL.COM to the project's COM directory. You will now have to open the RENAME_ALL.COM file and add site + other details into the script. Following the same example as above, it should look like this: $ eve RENAME_ALL.COM ! to open the file using a text editor $ COPY DISK2:[MICROCT.DATA.00000700.00002684]C0002040.AIM - DISK3:[MICROCT.PROJECTS.GRACE.MODELS]GRACE_020_00MTH_RR.AIM $! DELETE/CONFIRM DISK2:[MICROCT.DATA.00000700.00002684]C0002040.AIM;1 $ COPY DISK2:[MICROCT.DATA.00000700.00002685]C0002041.AIM - DISK3:[MICROCT.PROJECTS.GRACE.MODELS]GRACE_020_00MTH_RL.AIM $! DELETE/CONFIRM DISK2:[MICROCT.DATA.00000700.00002685]C0002041.AIM;1 4. You also need to copy the rest of the standard patient image files (i.e. .AIM, .GOBJ, _SEG.AIM, _CORTEX.AIM, _LHTH_DTN.AIM) which is easily done by copying the above lines and replacing .AIM with the respective files. Warning: Always use the same account consistently to create all files and subfolders within their Project folder, otherwise you way miss data when doing Project Backup or Archive! Return to Contents or Return to Main Page
