===Reconstruction=== *After each image stack is acquired, it is automatically submitted to the queue (sys$slow) for reconstruction. The reconstruction for each image stack is split into four jobs to make efficient use of processors. *The reconstruction time depends on the resolution setting, with low resolution scans reconstructing faster than high resolution scans. Normally scans are reconstructed within a day or two. *It is possible to resubmit a scan for reconstruction (refer to Scanco Administration's Reconstruction) for details. This may be necessary or desirable for several reasons: #The sample did not reconstruct properly (e.g., due to a power failure) #To reconstruct the object at an angle (e.g., so that the anterior surface of a bone is always in the same direction). #A new beam hardening correction was applied to the sample #The scaling was changed for the sample to change the brightness Return to Contents or Return to Main Page
